The Tattersalls Ascot Yearling Sale will take place on Tuesday 11 August.  The sale, which is now in its second year has attracted 79 fillies from a variety of high class stallions, all of which will be eligible for the £150,000 Tattersalls October Auction Stake which will be run at Newmarket on October 5 2019.

The catalogue contains many yearlings by first crop sires, as well as those by successful stallions such as Camacho, Acclamation, Equiano, Havana Gold and No Nay Never. The sale also includes a number of well related fillies including:

  • Lot 10 a Cable Bay filly out of the listed winner Silver Rainbow
  • Lot 13 an Anjaal filly out of a half-sister to Gr. 1 winner Ransom O’War
  • Lot 45- A No Nay Never filly out of the Group 1 placed mare Amethyst
  • Lot 70- a Camacho filly out of a half sister to Listed winning and Gr 3 placed An Saighduir.
  • Lot 74 a Hot Streak filly out of a winning half-sister to Gr 2 winning Memory
  • Lot 99 a Swiss Spirit filly out of a half-sister to Gr 1 winner Gilt Edge Girl and Gr 2 winner Godfrey Street
  • Lot 110 a Cable Bay filly who is a half-sister to Gr 2 winning Beacon.
  • Lot 120 a Dutch Art filly who is a half-sister to 3 blacktype winners.

Fillies continue to be a value purchase at yearling sales, with a number of options available to them during their racing careers.  These include 747 races restricted to fillies in 2018, of which the average prize fund if 33% more than open races.
